Ingredientes

  • 1 Tbsp. unflavored gelatin few drops green food colorin
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 4 x egg whites
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 4 x egg yolks
  • 1 c. heavy cream whipped
  • 1/2 c. lime juice
  • 1 x 9 inch baked pie shell
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 1 tsp lime peel grated

Direcciones

  1. Thoroughly mix the gelatin, sugar, and salt in a saucepan.
  2. Beat together the egg yolks, lime juice, and water; stir into the gelat mix. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, just till the mix comes to a boil. Remove from the heat; stir in the grated peel.
  3. Add in the food coloring sparingly to give a pale green color.
  4. Chill, stirring occasionally, till the mix mounds slightly when dropped from a spoon.
  5. Beat the egg whites till soft peaks form; gradually add in 1/2 c. sugar, beating to stiff peaks.
  6. Fold the gelatin mix into the egg whites; mix in the whipped cream Pile into the pastry shell. Refrigeratetill hard.
  7. Spread with additional whipped cream and edge with grated lime.
