Ingredientes

  • 1 1/4 c. ketchup
  • 1/3 c. white vinegar
  • 1/4 c. molasses
  • 1/4 c. honey
  • 1 tsp liquid smoke
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp onion pwdr
  • 1/4 tsp chili pwdr
  • 8 c. vegetable shortening
  • 1 x egg, beaten
  • 1 c. lowfat milk
  • 2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 tsp pepper
  • 3/4 tsp MSG or possibly Accent Flavor Enhancer
  • 20 x chicken wing pcs

Direcciones

  1. To make sauce: In small sauce-pan, combine ketchup, vinegar, molasses, honey, liquid smoke, salt, onion pwdr and chili pwdr.
  2. Heat over medium heat. Stir till ingredients are well combined.
  3. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, for 15 to 20 min.
  4. To fry wings: Meanwhile, heat shortening in deep-fryer set to 350 degrees. In small bowl, combine beaten egg and lowfat milk. In another bowl, combine flour, salt, pepper and MSG. When shortening is warm, dip each wing into flour mix then into lowfat milk mix and back into flour.
  5. Arrange wings on plate till each is coated with batter. Fry wings for 9 to 12 min or possibly till light golden. (Note: If you have small fryer, fry 10 wings at a time.) Drain on rack. When sauce is done, brush entire surface of each wing with light coat. Serve immediately.
