Receta Kicked-Up BLT Sandwich #BaconMonth
This BLT is kicked up with the extra addition of avocado & a sun-dried tomato pesto mayo that is delicious & makes this sandwich one of the top dogs of BLT's!
KICKED-UP BLT SANDWICH
YIELD: serves 2
INGREDIENTS:
4 slices
sandwich bread
2 tablespoons
mayo
- 1 tablespoon
- prepared sun-dried tomato pesto
- 8 slices
- bacon, cooked & cut in half
- 1 whole
- avocado, peeled & sliced
- tomato slices
- lettuce
COOKING DIRECTIONS:
{optional} Toast your bread in a skillet with a small amount of butter until light golden brown. Set aside.
Mix together the mayo & the prepared sun-dried tomato pesto in a small bowl. Refrigerate until ready to prepare sandwiches.
To Make One Sandwich: Spread the two pieces of bread with 1/2 of the sun-dried tomato mayo mixture. On one piece of bread, lay the bacon on top of the mayo, then top with the lettuce & tomato slices. Lay the slices of 1/2 the avocado on top of the tomato. Top with the second slice of bread, mayo side down.
Use a sharp knife to cut the sandwich in half (on the diagonal).
