%20with%20you%20here.%20I%20can't%20imagine%20a%20better%20place%20to%20start%20than%20Boulette's%20Larder%20and%20Bouli%20Bar.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELast%20Friday,%20I%20was%20lucky%20enough%20to%20be%20welcomed%20into%20Amaryll's%20kitchen.%20From%20the%20crisp%20cool%20maritime%20light,%20to%20the%20steamy%20pots%20on%20the%20stove%20top,%20bushels%20of%20rosy%20apples,%20rows%20of%20copper%20pans%20of%20every%20imaginable%20size,%20and%20stacks%20of%20jars%20packed%20with%20spices,%20herbs,%20and%20other%20temptations,%20this%20place%20is%20magic.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBoulette's%20Larder%20is%20amongst%20the%20favorite%20restaurants%20of%20pretty%20much%20everyone%20I%20know,%20and%20for%20good%20reason.%20There%20is%20something%20ethereal,%20yet%20earthy%20about%20Amaryll's%20cooking%20-%20her%20flavor%20combinations%20and%20use%20of%20ingredients%20are%20unexpected%20and%20inspiring,%20while%20at%20the%20same%20time%20her%20food%20is%20always%20deeply%20comforting%20and%20full%20of%20nourishment.%20For%20nearly%20a%20decade%20now%20at%20Boulette's,%20Amaryll%20and%20her%20partner%20Lori%20have%20been%20luring%20all%20of%20us%20in%20with%20cozy%20breakfasts,%20delectable%20lunches,%20and%20amazing%20dinner%20events.%20I'm%20guessing%20that%20all%20of%20you%20local%20Bay%20Area%20folks%20have%20tried%20Boulette's,%20but%20if%20you%20haven't,%20don't%20walk,%20run.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELori%20and%20Amaryll's%20quiet%20corner%20of%20the%20SF%20Ferry%20Building%20has%20become%20a%20much%20busier%20place%20over%20the%20past%20few%20months%20since%20they've%20opened%20their%20second%20restaurant,%20Bouli%20Bar%20right%20next%20door%20to%20Boulette's.%20I've%20eaten%20a%20couple%20of%20scrumptious%20lunches%20since%20the%20doors%20opened%20and%20I'm%20looking%20forward%20to%20many%20many%20more.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAbby,%20my%20best%20friend%20from%20high%20school%20-%20who%20happens%20to%20be%20an%20extremely%20talented%20architect%20-%20designed%20Bouli%20Bar%20(and%20the%20quietly%20revamped%20Boulette's).%20She%20would%20be%20horrified%20at%20my%20gushing,%20but%20I%20can't%20help%20myself...%20the%20space%20is%20stunning.%20Another%20friend%20perfectly%20described%20Bouli%20Bar%20as%20modern%20and%20clean,%20yet%20jewel-like;%20and%20I%20have%20to%20say%20that%20the%20space%20has%20a%20freshness%20completely%20unlike%20any%20restaurant%20I've%20seen.%20There%20are%20cozy%20banquettes,%20warm%20communal%20tables,%20seating%20in%20the%20atrium%20of%20the%20bustling%20Ferry%20Building,%20while%20a%20beautiful%20brass-clad%20wood-fueled%20oven%20burns%20at%20the%20heart%20of%20Amaryll%20and%20Lori's%20new%20venture.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBoth%20Bouli%20and%20Boulette's%20feel%20just%20right%20and%20the%20food%20is%20unbeatable.%20We're%20so%20lucky.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAmaryll%20was%20willing%20to%20share%20some%20cooking%20wisdom%20with%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eme%20that%20I%20had%20to%20pass%20along%20to%20you.%20One%20of%20the%20most%20irresistible%20plates%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eof%20food%20being%20served%20the%20morning%20I%20spent%20at%20Boulette's%20was%20a%20bowl%20of%20%22corn%20cream%22%20-%20kind%20of%20a%20fresh%20corn%20polenta%20-%20topped%20with%20buttery%20scrambled%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eeggs,%20fresh%20lime%20and%20sea%20salt.%20Talk%20about%20comfort%20food!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHow%20do%20we%20make%20this%20Corn%20Cream%20at%20home?%20I%20had%20to%20know.%20Here's%20the%20scoop...%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECORN%20CREAM%20serves%202%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECut%20kernels%20from%20uncooked%20corn.%20Amaryll%20suggests%20cutting%20the%20kernels%20in%20a%20few%20phases:%20first,%20cut%20off%20the%20kernels%20at%20about%201/2%20depth;%20next,%20slice%20the%20remaining%20corn%20from%20the%20cob;%20finally,%20use%20the%20back%20of%20a%20knife%20or%20spoon%20to%20scrape%20the%20length%20of%20the%20cob%20to%20get%20as%20much%20of%20the%20corn%20milk%20as%20possible.%20(Try%20doing%20all%20of%20the%20cutting%20and%20scraping%20of%20the%20corn%20over%20your%20blender%20or%20food%20processor,%20so%20you%20don't%20loose%20one%20tasty%20bit.)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPlace%20cut%20corn%20in%20a%20blender%20or%20food%20processor.%20Press%20the%20kernels%20down%20with%20a%20wooden%20spoon%20to%20help%20release%20the%20liquid%20and%20to%20make%20blending%20easier.%20%20Thoroughly%20puree%20the%20corn%20for%20a%20minute%20or%20two%20until%20frothy%20like%20a%20cappuccino.%20(You%20can%20also%20run%20the%20corn%20kernels%20through%20a%20juicer,%20if%20you've%20got%20one).%20Feel%20free%20to%20strain%20the%20puree%20through%20a%20loose%20sieve%20if%20you%20want%20a%20very%20smooth%20texture,%20but%20a%20coarser%20texture%20is%20nice%20as%20well.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPour%20your%20puree%20in%20a%20saucepan%20with%20butter%20and%20a%20few%20pinches%20of%20sea%20salt.%20Warm%20the%20corn%20over%20low%20heat,%20stirring%20occasionally.%20The%20corn%20will%20release%20its%20starches%20as%20it%20cooks,%20thickening%20the%20puree.%20The%20cooking%20also%20brings%20out%20the%20natural%20sugars%20of%20the%20corn,%20making%20for%20an%
