Ingredientes

  • 8 x ripe kiwis, peeled and ends cored
  • 2 lrg Granny Smith apples, skin on, cored, minced (2 c. minced) (250 ml)
  • 1 x juice of half a lemon
  • 2/3 c. apple juice (150 ml)
  • 1/3 c. granulated sugar (75 ml)

Direcciones

  1. Puree apples and lemon juice in food processor then add in kiwis, sugar, and apple juice. Pulse to combine. Transfer to a shallow pan or possibly baking dish. Place on a flat surface in freezer for 1 hour or possibly till begins to freeze. Remove from freezer and stir well with fork, breaking up the mix so which no chunks remain. Return to freezer for a further 1/2 hour and repeat stirring process. Repeat this procedure till mix has completely crystallized from the stirring and freezing. Keep frzn till ready to serve. To serve, scoop out granita into tall chilled glasses.
  2. Yield: 8 servings
  3. Called Granita in Italian, Granite in French - it's just an ice. As you freeze the mix, frequently stir the granite mix to break up the ice crystals so the final texture when fully frzn is granular. Kiwi and green apple together is so refreshing!
