Knudsen's Cottage Cheese Meatloaf

Ingredientes

  • 1 x egg
  • 1 lb lean grnd beef
  • 1/2 c. cottage cheese
  • 1/2 x onion chopped
  • 1/2 c. cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 c. chopped celery
  • 1/4 c. chopped green bell pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. toasted sesame seeds
  • 1/2 x garlic clove crushed
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp dry basil
  • 1/2 tsp freshly-grnd black pepper
  • 1/4 c. ketchup
  • 2 tsp brown sugar
  • 2 tsp prepared mustard

Direcciones

  1. Heat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Beat the egg lightly in a large bowl. Crumble the beef and add in to the bowl, along with the cottage cheese, onion, cracker crumbs, celery, green pepper, sesame seeds, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, basil and pepper. Toss lightly with your hands to mix; don't overmix. Shape the loaf and place in a (9- by 5-inch) loaf pan.
  3. Combine the ketchup, brown sugar and mustard. Spread over the loaf.
  4. Bake the meatloaf till the internal temperature reaches 160 degrees on a meat thermometer and the loaf pulls away from the sides of the pan, about 1 hour. Let stand 10 min before slicing.
  5. This recipe yields 4 to 6 servings.
