Receta Kovakkai Chutney
Ingredients:
Kovakkai - 12, finely chopped
- Tomato - 1, finely chopped
- Onion - 1, finely chopped
- Ginger - 1/2 inch piece, peeled, chopped
- Dry Red Chillies - 5
- Curry Leaves - handful
- Mustard Seeds - 1/4 tsp
- Urad Dal - 1/4 tsp
- Oil - 2 tsp
- Salt as per taste
Method:
1. Heat 1 tsp oil in a pan.
2. Saute the kovakkai, tomato, onion, ginger, red chillies, curry leaves and salt for 2 minutes.
3. Remove and cool.
4. Then grind to a smooth paste adding a little water.
5. Heat the remaining oil in the pan.
6. Fry the mustard seeds and urad dal.
7. Pour into the chutney and serve.
