Ingredientes

  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 2 Tbsp. flour plus
  • 1 tsp flour
  • 4 x Large eggs separated
  • 1 3/4 c. buttermilk
  • 1/2 c. butter melted
  • 1 3/4 tsp vanilla
  • 1 x nine-inch unbaked deep-dish pie shell

Direcciones

  1. Stir sugar, salt and flour together in mixing bowl. Add in egg yolks, buttermilk, butter and vanilla. Blend well. In separate bowl, whip egg whites till moist peaks form, 1 minute. Fold beaten egg whites into buttermilk mix. Don't over-mix.
  2. Pour 1 qt (4 c.) buttermilk custard mix into unbaked pie shell. (Any remaining custard filling may be poured into c. and baked at 350 degrees till set, about 25 to 35 min.)
  3. Bake pie at 300 degrees till knife inserted in center comes out clean and top is crusty and golden, about 55 min to 1 hour.
  4. This recipe yields 6 servings.
