Ingredientes

  • 1 1/4 pound grnd beef
  • 1 med. onion, minced
  • 1/4 c. (1/2 stick) butter
  • 2 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 c. diced celery
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 1/2 c. sliced water chestnuts (optional)
  • 1 can (1 pound 12 ounce.) bean sprouts, liquid removed
  • 1 jar sliced mushrooms (optional)
  • 2 tbsp. minced pimientos (optional)

Direcciones

  1. Cook beef and onion in butter till lightly browned. Add in salt, pepper, celery and water. Simmer 15 min. Add in remaining vegetables; heat till warm. Combine thickening ingredients; add in to meat mix. Cook till slightly thickened, stirring constantly.
  2. Serve over warm cooked rice, chow mein noodles or possibly hamburger ROLLS. Serves about 8. Can do ahead or possibly in a crock pot. Freeze leftovers.
