Larb (Savory Chopped Pork Salad)

Ingredientes

  • 2 c. Grnd lean pork (you could substitute grnd chicken or possibly beef)
  • 1/2 c. Water
  • 2 Tbsp. Lime juice
  • 2 Tbsp. Pan-roasted rice of dry crumbs, or possibly bread crumbs
  • 1/2 x Grnd chili pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. Thinly sliced shallots
  • 2 x Spring onions, cut thin
  • 1 x Coriander plant, minced (can use stems)
  • 2 Tbsp. Fish sauce
  • 1/2 c. Mint leaves

Direcciones

  1. Stir the pork in boiled water till done. (This keeps it from burning.)
  2. Remove the pork from water.
  3. Mix the pan-roasted rice or possibly bread crumbs, grnd chili, shallot, spring onions and coriander stems or possibly root. Season to taste with the fish sauce and the lime juice. Sprinkle with mint leaves and serve with yard-long beans, cabbage, shallots and spring onions. You can fold the larb salad into a little cabbage package and serve as a mini-sandwich or possibly tiny Thai taco.
