Ingredientes

  • 1 c. shortening
  • 1 stk margarine
  • 2 1/2 c. sugar
  • 3 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp lemon extract
  • 1 x lemon, juice of
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 Tbsp. warm water
  • 4 x Large eggs
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. hot water
  • 1 lrg lemon, juice and rind of

Direcciones

  1. Cream shortening, margarine, and 2 1/2 c. sugar till all sugar grains disappear. Add in Large eggs, one at a time; beat well after each addition. Add in baking soda to warm water in spoon; mix. Add in flour and liquids alternately to batter, beginning and ending with flour. Bake in an angel food tube cake pan (be sure not to grease the pan). Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 15 min. Remove from pan immediately when done. Mix well the 1/2 c. sugar and 1 c. hot water and the juice and rind of 1 large lemon.
  2. Pour over the warm cake. Cold completely before cutting, covering, or possibly storing.
