Ingredientes

  • 1 x 27 oz can sauerkraut rinsed and liquid removed
  • 1 sm head cabbage thinly sliced
  • 1 med onion diced
  • 2 x apples peeled and diced
  • 1 1/2 tsp caraway seeds
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. bacon drippings

Direcciones

  1. In a slow cooker, layer the liquid removed kraut with sliced cabbage, onion and apples. Sprinkle each layer with caraway seeds and sugars. Pour bacon drippings over the top.
  2. Cover slow cooker and cook on low for 8 to 10 hrs (on high for 3 hrs). Stir well before serving with roast pork and potatoes.
