Ingredientes

  • 2 pkt frzn minced spinach - (10 ounce ea)
  • 4 slc bacon finely minced
  • 1 sm onion chopped
  • 4 Tbsp. flour
  • 2 tsp Lawry's seasoned salt
  • 1 tsp Lawry's seasoned pepper - (to 2)
  • 2 x garlic cloves chopped
  • 2 c. lowfat milk warmed

Direcciones

  1. Cook spinach according to package directions and drain well.
  2. Snip the bacon into tiny bits with scissors. Fry the bacon bits till crisp, set aside and remove most of the bacon drippings from the pan.
  3. Saute/fry the onion in the pan drippings till very tender, about 10 min. Add in the bacon bits back to the onion mix for the last couple of min of cooking.
  4. Remove onion/bacon mix from heat and stir in flour, seasoned salt and pepper and garlic (it will be a thick paste roux). Blend thoroughly.
  5. Add in the warmed lowfat milk all at once. Return to medium heat and stir till smooth and thickened. Add in spinach and mix thoroughly. Keep hot till ready to serve.
