Receta Left Over Halloween Candy Balls
by CookingLib

Yes, I am aware that Halloween was over 21 days ago.   Yes, I know that I am mega-late with this post.  However, I am trying to play catch up with the blog so humor me a little ;)   This recipe came to me in the midst of trying to lessen our candy stash for Halloween.  My children ended up with enough candy to fill two gallon sized ziplock bags.  They were so happy to see the results of their hard earned trick-or-treating.  I, on the other hand, went into panic mode the next day with trying to figure out what to do with all of it.   I came across this recipe in my e-mail and decided to give it a shot.  I have seen similar recipes floating around the net and have always wanted to try it.  Truth be known, you don't really have to wait for Halloween to make these.  These would be great to make year round with any kind of left over candy that may grace your cabinets. We really enjoyed these and they will be made again next year after Halloween.  Left Over Halloween Candy Balls (makes 9-12 balls) Ingredients: 1 and 1/2 cups shredded sweet coconut 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter 1/4 cup honey 3/4 cup left over Halloween Candy (we used M&M's) Directions: 1.  In a medium sized bowl, combine the coconut, peanut butter, honey, and candy.  Stir until well combined. 2.  Line a baking tray with aluminum foil or parchment paper.  With a regular sized table spoon, scoop out a generous amount and form into little balls. 3.  Place balls on top of the baking tray.  Place tray in the freezer for 2 hours.  Reshape balls once finished. 4.  Store in fridge or freezer.   Recipe Source:  From the blog, Blissfully Domestic.  Original recipe found HERE.
