- Put together mayonnaise, cheese, crab meat, green onions, cayenne pepper, lemon juice, lemon and orange zest in mixing bowl. Mix well to blend.Remove crust from bread, cut into equal squares and place on 2 baking sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 5 min. Turn slices and continue to bake till brown, 5 min.
- Remove from oven. Toast can be made ahead, keep loosely covered with foil at cool room temperature.
- When ready to assemble, spread each toast with generous 1/2 tbsp crab mix. Bake at 350 degrees till topping is puffed and golden brown, 10 to 12 min. Remove from oven and sprinkle with chives. Makes 28 portions, 8 to 10 servings.
