Ingredientes

  • 1 1/2 c. unsweetened pineapple juice
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 3 tsp arrowroot
  • 1 Tbsp. water
  • 6 x kiwi fruit peeled, and thinly sliced
  • 6 slc lemon lb. cake - (2 ounce ea)
  • 3 x hard bananas peeled, and cut in half crosswise
  • 1/4 c. butter melted
  • 6 scoop vanilla ice cream
  • 1 tsp black sesame seeds

Direcciones

  1. In a small saucepan combine pineapple juice and sugar. Bring to a boil and simmer for 10 min. Dissolve arrowroot in water and add in gradually to liquid, stirring constantly till slightly thickened. Remove from heat to cold. Gently fold kiwi slices into sauce.
  2. Brush cake slices and banana halves lightly with butter; place on cooking grate. Grill 3 to 4 min, turning once halfway through grilling time.
  3. Serve each cake slice topped with a banana half. Arrange kiwi sauce around cake and serve with a scoop of ice cream. Sprinkle with black sesame seeds.
  4. This recipe yields 6 servings.
  5. Wine Recommendation: A demi-sec dessert wine with plenty of citrus notes will cushion the lb. cake and cuddle the sauce. Try one from the Loire Valley.
  6. Comments: This tropical dessert is the perfect closure for any Polynesian or possibly Asian meal. You can also make it with orange lb. cake.
