Lemon Rosemary Roasted Cornish Hens

Ingredientes

  • 1 cornish hen
  • 1/2 stick of butter room temp
  • 1 lemon zested and cut into small wedges
  • 3-4 cloves of garlic smashed
  • 3-4 sprigs of rosemary
  • 1/2 Cup of chicken broth
  • salt and pepper

Direcciones

  1. Preheat the oven to 300
  2. If the bird still has the neck and gizzards remove
  3. Separate (do not remove) the skin of the bird
  4. salt and pepper the butter and stir in the zest then rub it on the outside of the skin as well as the inside
  5. Stuff the bird with as much of the rosemary, garlic, lemon wedges
  6. If there is any extra place it in the baking dish.
  7. Pour the broth in a small baking dish and place the bird in as well
  8. Bake for 1 hour basting every 10-15 min
  9. If the bird is not getting that pretty golden skin turn the temp up to 325 and bake another 15 min
