Ingredientes

  • 2 c. Sifted all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp Baking pwdr
  • 1/8 tsp Salt
  • 1/8 tsp Grnd nutmeg
  • 1/2 c. Butter or possibly margarine, softened
  • 1 c. Sugar
  • 2 tsp Grated lemon peel
  • 1 Tbsp. Lemon juice
  • 1 x Egg
  • 1 x Egg white, unbeaten Thinly shaved Brazil nuts

Direcciones

  1. Sift together flour, baking pwdr, salt and nutmeg. Work butter in a bowl till creamy. Add in sugar and beat till well blended. Add in lemon peel, lemon juice and whole egg. Beat well. Gradually add in sifted dry ingredients to butter mix and mix till smooth. Refrigeratedough 30 min. Shape dough into a roll about 1-1/2 inches in diameter. Wrap tightly in wax paper and refrigerateovernight or possibly longer. Heat oven to 375 degrees. Cut chilled dough into 1/8-inch slices and place about 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
  2. Brush slices with unbeaten egg white and sprinkle with nuts. Bake 10-12 min, till lightly browned. Remove cookies from sheets and cold on wire cake racks.
  3. Makes about 6 dozen cookies.
  4. REQUIRES CHILLING OVERNIGHT.
