Receta Lemon Sorbet with Mint Leaves
I saw this sorbet recipe in an Australian Women’s Magazine on a recent visit to my favorite book shop here…. It was really a bliss having this when the outside temperature is 50°C…..
Lemon Sorbet with Mint Leaves
Ingredients:
- Freshly squeezed Lemon Juice-2 cups
- Sugar-3 cups
- Water- 1 cup
- Cream – ½ cup
- Mints leaves-2 tbsp, chopped
Method:
Combine water and sugar and bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat to low and simmer until sugar dissolves, about 3-4 minutes. Cool completely.
Put sugar syrup, lime juice and cream in a blender and blend well.
Chill for an hour and blend the mixture again. Repeat this process two more time and finally add mint leaves and freeze the sorbet in an air tight container.
Serve chilled.
The life of a Lemon sorbet is short as the outside temperature climbs to 50°C :)
