Life On The Go with Newtons Fruit Thins

According to Wikipedia, a Type A personality is described as: ambitious, rigidly organized, can be sensitive, care for other people, are truthful, always try to help others, take on more than they can handle, want other people to get to the point, proactive, obsessed with time management, are often high-achieving “workaholics” who multi-task, push themselves with deadlines, and hate both delays and ambivalence.

That, my friends, is me. Totally. If Type AA existed, I’m sure I’d be classified as that.

I’m incapable of sitting still or relaxing. Even when I’m sitting, I’m moving. Paul says he can tell when I’m talking about something that excites me, because I cross my legs and kick up my foot a little. He noticed it when we were first dating and apparently I still do it.

New highlighter pens, post-it notes, colored folders, and lists also excite me. I honestly don’t know how anyone today functions without these things, with so much to do.

And yet, I still have a hard time balancing it all. Work, kids, exercise, cleaning, shopping…there are only so many hours in the day.

Somehow I’m able to put a substantial healthy meal on the table for dinner each night. But snacking during the day is my downfall. Always has been. It’s so challenging to eat the right foods when I’m constantly on the go and juggling chaotic schedules. I love bean salads and hummus type spreads, but I also love cookies.

I grew up eating Fig Newtons. They were actually one of the only cookies my mom would ever allow in the house. I never got tired of them and now I always have them in my house. I consider them my guilt-free cookie.

Now Newtons has another line of product called Fruit Thins – they’re a thin crispy cookie that’s baked with real fruit and 8 grams of whole grains per serving. The flavors include Cranberry Citrus Oat, Blueberry Brown Sugar, Chocolate Raspberry, and Fig and Honey. Add to that their two latest: Fruit Thins Banana Drizzled with Dark Fudge and Fruit Thins Toasted Coconut Drizzled with Dark Fudge.

I could not wait to try these!

I started taste testing.

Paul: “I guess you like them, huh?”

Me: “I do! Why?”

Paul: “Because you’re kicking up your foot.”

Me: “I guess I am.” Lol.

No surprise that I liked both. And 3 is a serving, not 2! Winner!
