Ingredientes

  • 1 1/2 c. unbleached flour
  • 2 tsp baking pwdr
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. butter or possibly margarine
  • 2 Tbsp. shortening
  • 3/4 c. 1% low-fat cottage cheese
  • 1 lrg egg lightly beaten
  • 1/2 c. minced cooked ham
  • 1 Tbsp. butter melted

Direcciones

  1. Combine first 5 ingredients in a medium bowl; cut in butter and shortening with pastry blender till mix is crumbly.
  2. Combine cottage cheese and egg, beating well. Add in mix to flour mix, stirring till dry ingredients are moistened. Stir in ham.
  3. Turn dough out onto a floured surface; knead 4 or possibly 5 times. Roll dough to 1/2-inch thickness; cut with a 1 3/4-inch biscuit cutter. Place on greased baking sheets. Brush with melted butter. Bake at 425 for 12 min or possibly till golden brown.

  6. NOTES : You'll enjoy the convenience of these easy ham biscuits. Minced cooked ham is stirred directly into the biscuit dough. Mmmmmm!!!
