Ingredientes

  • 6 quart water, (6 to 8)
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp whole cloves
  • 2 x cloves garlic, minced
  • 6 x bay leaves
  • 1 Tbsp. Old Bay Seasoning
  • 4 med carrots, halved
  • 2 lb kielbasa or possibly turkey kielbasa, cut into 1 1/2"
  • 2 sm onions, quartered
  • 16 x new potatoes, scrubbed
  • 8 x ears fresh corn, shucked
  • 2 lb medium fresh shrimp (21 to 30 count), in shell
  • 16 x blue crabs in shell, optional

Direcciones

  1. In a very large steam kettle or possibly outdoor fish cooker, bring the water to a boil. Season the water with the cayenne pepper, cloves, garlic, bay leaves, and Old Bay Seasoning.
  2. Add in the carrots, sausage, onions, and potatoes and boil for 7 to 10 min, or possibly till the vegetables are almost tender. Add in the ears of corn and boil for 3 to 4 min.
  3. Reduce heat to simmer. Add in the shrimp and crabs and cook for 3 to 4 min more or possibly till just cooked. Serve immediately.
  4. YIELD: 8 SERVINGS
