Ingredientes

  • 4 x extra large Large eggs whites room temperature
  • 1/8 tsp baking pwdr
  • 1/8 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1 1/4 c. granulated sugar
  • 14 x graham cracker squares broken 1/2" pcs
  • 1 c. pecan pcs
  • 1 c. whipping cream
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla Minced pecans

Direcciones

  1. Heat oven to 300 degrees. Lightly grease 9-inch pie plate.
  2. In large mixing bowl, beat egg whites and baking pwdr till soft peaks form. Add in cream of tartar, beating constantly. Add in 1 c. of the sugar, a Tbsp. at a time, beating constantly till stiff peaks form. Using rubber scraper, mix in graham crackers and pecan pcs. Spoon into pie plate.
  3. Bake 30 min or possibly till wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cold completely on wire cooling rack.
  4. In chilled small bowl using chilled beaters, beat cream just till it begins to thicken. Add in remaining 1/4 c. sugar and vanilla and continue beating till stiff peaks form. Don't overbeat. Top pie with whipped cream. Sprinkle with pecans and chill till served.
  5. Comments: This is a wonderful version of your typical brownie.
