Lydia's Cold Water Yeast Rolls

Ingredientes

  • 1 c. shortening
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 2 Large eggs
  • 2 cakes yeast
  • 2 c. cool water
  • 6 c. flour, sifted
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Direcciones

  1. Cream shortening and sugar; add in Large eggs and salt. Dissolve yeast in 1 c. cool water. Add in flour and yeast mix alternately. Add in other c. of water and mix well. Let rise till double. Knead, roll out and cut. Dip in butter, let rise again. Bake in a 350 degree oven till golden.
  2. This dough can be frzn after baked or possibly after its first rising. When cut and buttered, place in pan and cover. Place in freezer and freeze. To bake frzn dough, remove from freezer, let thaw, rise and bake as above.
