Receta Maangai Pachidi | Raw Mango Pachidi
Ingredients
- 2 Cups Thinly sliced raw mangoes
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 tsp Red chilli powder
- 1 Cup Powdered Jaggery
- For Tempering
- 1/2 Tbsp Urad Dahl
- 1 tsp Mustard seeds
- 2-3 no's Red Chillies
- 1/2 Tbsp Oil
Instructions
In a saucepan add the sliced mangoes and water enough to immerse them. Cover and cook until they become tender for about 5 minutes. Meanwhile in another pan, melt the jaggery in a tbsp water. Filter it and keep it aside.
Once the mangoes are cooked, add the salt, chilli powder, turmeric powder and the melted jaggery. Keep stirring for another 10 minutes or so until it comes to a sauce consistency.
Heat ghee in a pan, temper it with mustard seeds, red chillies and urad dahl. Add it to the pachadi and serve.
