Maavilai Rasam (Mango Leaves Rasam) Recipe
Ingredients:
- Tender Mango Leaves – 5
- Toor Dal – 1/4 cup
- Green Chillies – 4
- Mango – 2 tsp, grated
- Turmeric Powder – 1/4 tsp
- Asafoetida Powder – 1/4 tsp
- Mustard Seeds – 1 tsp
- Ghee – 1 tsp
- Salt as per taste
Method:
1. Pressure cook the dal with turmeric powder and asafoetida powder.
2. Pour 2 cups of water and mix well.
3. Add salt, mango and place it over medium flame.
4. When it starts to boil switch off the flame.
5. Heat ghee in a pan.
6. Fry the green chillies and mustard seeds for 30 seconds.
7. Pour into the rasam and stir well.
8. Serve hot.
