Ingredientes

  • 1 c. shortening
  • 3 c. molasses
  • 1 teaspoon soda, dissolved in 2 tbsp. warm water
  • 1/2 teaspoon cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoon anise pwdr or possibly oil
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 2 Large eggs
  • 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 c. nuts
  • Sufficient flour to make a soft ball

Direcciones

  1. Mix together and let stand overnight. Roll in small balls the size of a marble. They are a real hard cookie, a good dunker. Bake 350 degrees till edges are brown. They burn quite easily.
