Ingredientes

  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon baking pwdr
  • 1 c. shortening (butter)
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 5 large eggs, well beaten
  • 1/2 teaspoon each: orange, lemon, rum flavorings
  • 4 c. (32 ounce) total candied pineapple, cherries, any combination fruit cake mix may also be used
  • 2 c. macadamia nuts (1, 7 ounce jar, 1, 3 1/2 ounce jar), minced

Direcciones

  1. Grease and line with brown paper, well greased 3 (1 lb) loaf pans, or possibly 1 tube pan.Beat shortening and sugar till fluffy. Add in large eggs and flavorings. Beat well. Blend flour and baking pwdr. Add in with fruit and nuts. Bake at 250 degrees for about 3 hrs, with a pan of water (1/2 inch deep) on the bottom of the oven.
  2. Check at 2 1/2 hrs for small loaves. Place tube on foil - grease leaks.
