Ingredientes

  • 1 x folded refrigerated pie crust (from a 15-ounce pkg)
  • 1 c. light corn syrup
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3 x Large eggs
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 jar macadamia nuts - (6 1/2 ounce) coarsely minced

Direcciones

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Unfold the pie crust and place in a 9-inch pie plate or possibly tart pan, pressing the crust firmly into the pan. Trim the edges and flute, if you like.
  2. In a large saucepan, combine the corn syrup, butter, brown sugar, flour, and salt over medium heat, stirring till the mix comes to a rolling boil. Remove from the heat and let cold slightly.
  3. Add in the Large eggs and vanilla; mix well. Stir in the macadamia nuts and pour into the pie crust. Bake for 35 to 40 min, or possibly till hard. Serve hot or possibly allow to cold before slicing and serving.
  4. This recipe yields 8 servings.
  5. Comments: To make this even more heavenly, top each slice with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a drizzle of caramel sauce.
