Mackinac Island Hot Fudge Sauce

Ingredientes

  • 1/4 pound butter
  • 1 pound powdered sugar
  • 1 1/4 c. heavy cream
  • 1/2 pound unsweetened chocolate
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Direcciones

  1. Combine all ingredients in top of double boiler. Cook over warm, not boiling, water for 30 min, stirring frequently. When well mixed and thickened, remove from heat and cold slightly. Then in two batches, put into blender container and blend till smooth.
  2. Makes about 1 qt. This sauce needs to be served hot as it's very thick. If it has been kept for a while, it may need to be reheated and put into the blender again.
