Mama's Pineapple Cake Filling

Ingredientes

  • 1 layer cake
  • 1 lg. can crushed pineapple
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 1 egg, beaten well
  • 1 heaping T flour
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon

Direcciones

  1. In large saucepan put together pineapple, sugar, butter, egg, flour and lemon juice. Start on low heat and simmer till thick sufficient to spread. Cool; spread on top of bottom layer, then around sides of layer. Continue each layer in this manner. Filling doesn't have to be cold, only cool. Sides and top of 4 layers.
