Ingredientes

  • 3/4 lb boneless skinless chicken
  • 2 Tbsp. oyster-flavored sauce
  • 1/2 c. chicken broth
  • 3 Tbsp. dry sherry
  • 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. dark soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp warm pepper sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. veg. oil
  • 6 sm dry red chilies
  • 2 tsp chopped garlic
  • 1 sm zucchini cut 1" cubes
  • 1 sm onion cut 1" cubes
  • 1 c. sliced water chestnuts or possibly jicama
  • 2 tsp cornstarch dissolved in
  • 1 Tbsp. water
  • 3/4 c. Diamond Sesame Glazed Walnuts

Direcciones

  1. Cut chicken into 3/4-inch pcs. Place in a bowl and add in oyster-flavored sauce; stir to coat. Let stand for 10 min.
  2. Combine sauce ingredients in a bowl; set aside.
  3. Place a wok over high heat till warm. Add in oil, swirling to coat sides. Add in chilies, and garlic; cook, stirring, till fragrant, about 10 seconds. Add in chicken and stir-fry for 1 minute. Add in zucchini, onion and water chestnuts; stir-fry for 30 seconds. Add in sauce and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 2 min. Add in cornstarch solution and cook, stirring, till sauce boils and thickens. Add in Diamond Sesame Glazed Walnuts and toss to coat.
  4. Serve over steamed rice.
  5. This recipe yields 4 to 6 servings
