Ingredientes

  • 1 (4 lb.) pork roast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic pwdr
  • 2 tbsp. Dijon mustard
  • 1 (11 ounce.) can Mandarin oranges
  • 1/4 c. light brown sugar
  • 1/4 c. vinegar
  • 1 chicken bouillon cube
  • 1 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 med. onion, minced
  • 1/3 c. green pepper, minced

Direcciones

  1. Trim excess fat from roast. Sprinkle roast with salt, pepper and garlic pwdr. Spread mustard over roast; place in a large Dutch oven. Cover and bake at 325 degrees till meat thermometer reaches 170 degrees (approximately 2 1/2 hrs).
  2. Drain Mandarin oranges, reserving liquid. Combine liquid and next 6 ingredients in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, till smooth and thickened. Remove from heat; stir in onion, green pepper and oranges.
  3. Spoon sauce over roast. Bake, uncovered, at 400 degrees for 30 min, basting occasionally.
  4. Slice pork and serve with pan drippings.
