This Mango Morning Smoothie is a simple and healthy way to start your day!
The Hubs & I have been trying to make some better choices with our diets lately & one of the ways we’ve been doing that is by including more smoothies. We’ll start our days off with a smoothie for breakfast or sometimes even have a protein packed smoothie for dinner. The Hubs can’t have dairy so we’ve been limited to the liquids we can use in our smoothies so when ALO Drinks offered to send me some of their varieties to try out, I couldn’t pass it up!
If you’re like me, you may have never heard of ALO Drinks before. I hadn’t. I mean everyone has heard of the Aloe Vera plant & all of the benefits of it, but I had no idea they put it in a beverage form! So I was definitely excited to give it a try! ALO Drinks actually has 3 different drink lines – Original, Light & Coco Exposed with over a dozen flavors available. The ALO Drinks are made with actual aloe vera pulp, straight from the leaves; they are low calorie, gluten-free & fat-free!
Another pretty cool thing about these little bottles – each bottle has it’s own QR code that leads to a song that was made specifically to match the drink! It was very cool to check out the different songs to go with the drinks ‘personalities’! Totally not food related, I know, but we love us some music in the Test Kitchen!
This was a perfect choice for our smoothies. It’s thicker than just water so it kept the nice texture & fullness we like in our smoothies & the flavor of the ALO Exposed gave just a nice honey sweetness with the fruit that we didn’t need to add any additional sweeteners to it. Plus we really like the added healthy benefits of the aloe! We love that we have found a new option for our smoothies!
