Receta Mango Oatmeal Breakfast Smoothie Recipe – Easy Mango Recipes
My home is taken over by ripe mangoes and it smells so heavenly. Apart from eating the fruit as such I’m following quite a lot of ways to use the fruit and enjoying it to the hilt and this breakfast smoothie using mangoes and oatmeal has become my favorite. I’m a not a breakfast person and I’m slowly but reluctantly changing myself to be a good example for my kids. I like drinking my breakfast as its easy and filling too at the same time.
When I made it the first day, the kid loved it so much and since this smoothie can be prepared by the kids itself, he has started making it all by himself. He prepares the oatmeal and rests it in the fridge for overnight so that he could blend it all by himself the next morning. An omelet along with a tall glass of this smoothie becomes his breakfast now-a-days before going to school and you get all the nutrients as well.

Place the almonds in a blender and pulse till it get ground coarsely.
Transfer the sliced mangoes, cooked oatmeal and yogurt to the blender and blend till smooth.
Pour into tall glasses and serve immediately.
Notes:
I used chilled yogurt and placed the sliced mangoes in the freezer for 10 minutes prior to blending for a super chilled smoothie.
Adding ice cubes waters down the smoothie and thins it out.
You can also cook the oatmeal day before and mix all the ingredients in a food grade container overnight in the refrigerator and blend it in the morning and need I have to tell you that it saves a lot of valuable time during the morning madness.
Choose any mango variety that’s devoid of fibre.
As I used Organic mangoes, I skip adding sugar or honey but do add them when making for the kids as they like it a bit more sweetened.
