- Saute/fry onions, carrots and celery in butter or possibly bacon.
- Add in tomatoes, potatoes, water, clam juice and seasonings. Cook till vegetables are tender.
- Add in clams and cook 10 min longer.
- (Onions, carrots and celery can be sauteed the day before and tomatoes added. The next day add in potatoes, water, clams, etc. and proceed.)
