  • 1 1/2 c. SIFTED POWDERED SUGAR
  • 1 c. BUTTER
  • 1 x EGG
  • 1 tsp VANILLA
  • 1/2 tsp ALMOND FLAVORING
  • 2 1/2 c. FLOUR
  • 1 tsp SODA
  • 1 tsp CREAM OF TARTAR

  1. MIX SUGAR AND BUTTER. Add in EGG AND FLAVORINGS. MIX THOROUGHLY. MIX FLOUR SODA AND CREAM OF TARTAR. MIX INTO SUGAR Mix. Chill FOR 2 TO 3 Hrs. HEAT OVEN TO 375 F. DIVIDE DOUGH IN HALF AND ROLL TO A THICKNESS OF 3/16" ON A FLOURED SURFACE. CUT WITH COOKIE CUTTER TO DESIRED SHAPE. PLACE ON LIGHTLY GREASED COOKIE SHEETS. Recipe makes a very tender dough.
