Maryland Lady Crab Cakes

Ingredientes

  • 1 pound crabmeat
  • 1 c. Italian seasoned bread crumbs
  • 1 lg. egg (or possibly 2 sm.)
  • About 1/4 c. mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • butter, butter or possibly oil for frying

Direcciones

  1. Remove all cartilage from crabmeat. In a bowl, mix bread crumbs, egg, mayonnaise and seasonings. Add in crabmeat and mix gently but thoroughly. If mix is too dry, add in a little more mayonnaise. Shape into 6 cakes. Cook cakes in fry pan, in just sufficient fat to prevent sticking, till browned; about 5 min on each side.
  2. Note: If you like, crab cakes may be deep-fried at 350 degrees for 2-3 min, or possibly till browned.
