Ingredientes

  • 3 1/2 c. Water
  • 1 c. Lentils, (masur dal) S&p
  • 1 pch Turmeric
  • 1 x In ginger
  • 2 cl Garlic
  • 2 Tbsp. Butter
  • 1 Tbsp. Cumin
  • 1 med Onion Paprika, opt Tomatoes, opt

Direcciones

  1. Wash well the daal and drain it.
  2. Boil the water and add in the daal, salt, pepper, turmeric, finely minced ginger, and garlic. Cover the pot and simmer for 20 minutes.
  3. When done, heat the butter and add in the cumin. Fry until golden and add in thinly sliced onions. Fry until crisp and brown.
  4. May add in paprika and finely minced tomatoes to the above for color. Pour over the daal and serve.
