%20Hey,%20it%20was%2010%20for%20$10%20week%20at%20Kmart!%20Gotta%20love%20chicken%20for%20$1/lb!%20We%20had%20a%20blast!%20By%20Friday%20I%20was%20%22running%20on%20empty%22%20and%20our%20outing,%20complete%20with%20grown%20up%20conversation,%20enchiladas,%20and%20lots%20of%20laughter%20turned%20out%20to%20be%20just%20what%20the%20doctor%20ordered.%20On%20Saturday,%20my%20husband%20and%20oldest%20daughter%20hit%20a%20baseball%20game%20while%20I%20prepared%20for%20the%20neighborhood%20Wine%20Walk%20(more%20about%20that%20in%20tomorrow's%20post)%20that%20we%20participated%20in%20last%20night.%20Today%20began%20with%202%20consecutive%20vacation%20bible%20school%20programs%20and%20a%20bridal%20shower%20luncheon.%20Then%20it%20was%20home%20for%20a%20trip%20to%20the%20pool%20followed%20by%20a%20cookout%20with%20friends%20tonight.%20Lots%20of%20summer%20fun...but%20no%20time%20to%20write.%20I%20hope%20that%20you%20all%20had%20a%20wonderful%20weekend%20too!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHere's%20the%20meal%20plan%20for%20this%20week.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMonday%20July%2019th%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBacon,%20Spinach,%20and%20Tomato%20Salsa%20Wraps%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20know%20this%20made%20the%20meal%20plan%20last%20week,%20but%20it's%20such%20a%20perfect,%20quick,%20summer%20dinner%20that%20we're%20having%20it%20again.%20The%20ingredients%20are%20in%20season%20and%20my%20kids%20love%20these!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETuesday%20July%2020th%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EChicken%20Lasagna%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWednesday%20July%2021st%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EGrilled%20Sirloin%20and%20Vidalia%20Skewers%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThursday%20July%2022nd%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EItalian%20Chopped%20Salad%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFriday%20July%2023rd-%20Sunday%20July%2024th%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOut%20of%20Town%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWe'll%20be%20dining%20on%20cookout%20and%20wedding%20food!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EGrocery%20List%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EProduce%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EForgiveness%20Clouds%20continued%20from%20my%20VBS%20snacks%20post.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20promised%20pictures%20of%20the%20Forgiveness%20Clouds,%20so%20here's%20one%20last%20%22Goodies%20from%20the%20Galley%22%20recipe%20from%20my%20week%20in%20our%20vacation%20bible%20school's%20High%20Seas%20Expedition%20kitchen.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EA%20tray%20of%20Forgiveness%20Clouds:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHere's%20a%20closer%20look.%20I%20have%20to%20say%20that%20the%20Forgiveness%20Clouds%20that%20the%20children%20made%20didn't%20look%20much%20like%20the%20pretty%20picture%20provided%20in%20my%20%22Goodies%20from%20the%20Galley%22%20guide.%20The%20picture%20featured%20a%20neat%20layer%20of%20chocolate%20graham%20cracker%20crumbs,%20topped%20with%20a%20smooth%20layer%20of%20whipped%20topping,%20followed%20by%20a%20couple%20tablespoons%20of%20cherry%20pie%20filling%20and%20finished%20with%20a%20neat%20dollop%20of%20more%20whipped%20topping.%20As%20the%20kids%20(aged%205-11)%20prepared%20these,%20I%20had%20to%20remind%20myself%20that%20the%20point%20of%20this%20project%20was%20not%20perfectly%20presented,%20picturesque%20snacks.%20It%20was%20meant%20to%20be%20a%20learning%20experience.%20The%20children%20practiced%20following%20directions%20and%20measuring%20skills.%20They%20worked%20as%20a%20team.%20They%20felt%20a%20sense%20of%20accomplishment%20in%20preparing%20170%20snacks%20for%20their%20bible%20school%20friends.%20And,%20of%20course%20they%20learned%20what%20this%20snack%20represented.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20story%20that%20I%20read%20to%20the%20children%20before%20we%20began%20snack%20preparation%20dealt%20with%20the%20disciples,%20Peter%20and%20John,%20teaching%20about%20Jesus%20and%20how%20he%20loved%20us%20so%20much%20that%20he%20died%20on%20the%20cross%20for%20our%20forgiveness.%20The%20chocolate%20crust%20represented%20darkness...the%20sin.%20The%20red%20cherries%20represented%20the%20blood%20shed%20for%20us,%20and%20the%20white%20whipped%20topping%20represented%20the%20forgiveness....covering%20our%20sin.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20found%20that%20the%20children%20went%20extra%20heavy%20on%20the%20forgiveness.%20Good%20for%20them!%20I'm%20glad%20that%20I%20purchased%20extra%20tubs%20of%20whipped%20topping!%20:%20)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EForgiveness%20Clouds%20from%20High%20Seas%20Expedition%20VBS%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EYield:%201%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E2%20tablespoons%20chocolate%20graham%20cracker%20crumbs%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E2%20tablespoons%20whipped%20topping%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E2%20tablespoons%20extra-fruit%20cherry%20or%20strawberry%20pie%20filling%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E9%20oz.%20clear%20plastic%20cup%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESpoon%20graham%20cracker%20crumbs%20into%20the%20bottom%20of%20the%20cup.%20Top%20with%201%20tablespoon%20whipped%20topping.%20Smooth%20slightly%20over%20the%20graham%20cracker%20crumbs.%20Top%20with%20pie%20filling.%20Finish%20with%20a%20dollop%20of%20more%20whipped%20topping.%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
