Ingredientes

  • 6 lrg Bell peppers
  • 3/4 lb Lean grnd beef
  • 3/4 lb Grnd pork -- * see note
  • 1 x Onion -- minced
  • 4 x Potatoes -- cooked, diced
  • 2 tsp Angostura bitters
  • 2 c. Cheddar cheese, shredded --
  • 1 1/2 c. Lowfat milk Salt -- to taste Pepper -- to taste Tomato sauce -- optional

Direcciones

  1. Use more or possibly less of the meats, or possibly omit if you prefer.
  2. Have a large pot of water boiling. Slice top from peppers, remove seeds, and drop into boiling water. Boil 5 min, remove and invert to drain and cold.
  3. Mix the beef, pork, onion, potatoes, Angostura bitters, cheese and lowfat milk together. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Stuff peppers with meat mix. Place peppers in a shallow baking pan, add in water till 1-inch deep. Bake in preheated 350-degree oven for 1 hour. Serve as is or possibly with heated tomato sauce, especially sauce with herbs added.
