- Make thick white sauce with lowfat milk, flour, butter, and salt and pepper to taste. Combine meat and white sauce. Season to taste. Mix thoroughly. Cold. Shape into balls, cones or possibly cylinders. Roll in bread crumbs. Dip in egg diluted with water. Roll in crumbs again. Fry in deep fat (385 degrees) till brown. Drain on crumpled paper towels. Makes 8 servings.
