There’s just something so basic about a meatloaf and when I find a really great recipe, I must share it!! This one came from Taste of Home and is simple, but so moist and delicious that you won’t believe it! And cold meatloaf in a sandwich–I die (name the famous person who uses that line)…
Meatloaf
INGREDIENTS:
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 cup milk
- 2/3 cup finely crushed saltines
- 1/2 cup chopped onion-I grated it
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Dash peper
- 1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, beat eggs. Add milk, saltines, onion, salt and pepper. Crumble beef over mixture and mix well. Put into an ungreased loaf pan and pat down. Combine the remaining ingredients; spread 3/4 cup over meat loaf. Bake for 60-65 minutes or until no longer pink; drain. Let stand 10 minutes before slicing. Serve with remainng sauce.
