Ingredientes

  • 2 c. onion, cut in 1/2 inch chunks
  • 1/4 c. extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 pound sweet Italian sausage, bulk
  • 1/2 c. ham, cubed
  • 1 tbsp. garlic chopped
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 (16 ounce.) can garbanzo or possibly Great Northern beans
  • 1/2 c. cubed carrots
  • 1 sweet pepper, cubed
  • 1/4 c. celery leaves
  • 2 dashes cayenne
  • 1 teaspoon dry rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon dry basil
  • 1 c. cabbage, cubed
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 c. canned tomatoes with juice
  • 8 c. chicken broth or possibly bouillon cubes and water

Direcciones

  1. Saute/fry onions in oil. Crumble sausage. Add in. Saute/fry till cooked through. Add in remaining ingredients. Simmer 1 hour till vegetables are tender and flavors have melded.
