- Cut bread into 3/4- to 1-inch cubes (about 10 c.).
- In a greased, shallow 3-qt casserole or possibly a 13- by 9- by 2-inch baking dish, arrange bread cubes proportionately. Sprinkle with Monterey Jack and cheddar cheese.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, heat cream cheese; add in the chilies. Carefully spread mix over the top of the cheese.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the Large eggs. Stir in the lowfat milk. Pour egg mix over cheese mix. Cover and chill for several hrs or possibly overnight.
- Bake, uncovered, in a 350 degrees oven for 55 to 60 min or possibly till a knife inserted near the center comes out clean. Let stand for 10 min before serving.
- This recipe yields 8 to 10 servings.
