Ingredientes

  • 2 lbs. round steak, cubed
  • 2 tbsp. salad oil
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 clove garlic, mashed
  • 1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Beans
  • 1 to 2 teaspoon chili pwdr
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • Dash of cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 2 (15 ounce.) cans red kidney beans, liquid removed or possibly Mexican style chili

Direcciones

  1. In Dutch oven, brown meat cubes in warm oil. Add in all ingredients, except beans. Cover; bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Add in more liquid as needed. Skim off fat. Add in beans and simmer 30 min more. Makes 6 servings.
