Mexican Style Hot Chocolate

Ingredientes

  • 2 (1 ounce.) squares unsweetened chocolate
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon, grnd
  • 4 tbsp. heavy cream
  • 2 c. lowfat milk
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 2 tbsp. sugar
  • 3 ounce. brandy
  • 4 cinnamon sticks

Direcciones

  1. Combine chocolate, vanilla, cinnamon and cream in saucepan. Place over very low heat; stir till chocolate is melted. Add in lowfat milk slowly to chocolate mix; mix well. Hot over very low heat. Don't allow mix to boil.
  2. Beat egg yolks and sugar till foamy. Slowly pour part of chocolate mix into egg yolks, beating well. Pour egg-yolk mix into saucepan; beat. Add in brandy to chocolate mix; beat till mix is frothy. Serve warm chocolate immediately in small c. with cinnamon sticks as stirrers.
  3. Yields 4 servings.
