- In large bowl beat butter, 1/2 c. sugar and vanilla together. Work flour into the mix till it holds together. Stir in nuts. Divide mix into 4 equal portions. Divide each portion into 12 pcs. Using the palms of your hands, roll each piece into a small ball. Makes 48. Place cookies on an ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake in 200 degrees C. or possibly 400 degrees F. oven for 10 min. Don't allow cookies to brown. While still warm, toss 1 at a time in icing sugar. The sugar melts to create a slight glaze. Set the cookies to cold on a second cookie sheet on platter. When cold, roll the cookies in additional icing sugar.
