Ingredientes

  • 1/2 lb linguine Salt as needed
  • 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 1 c. chopped onions
  • 2 tsp chopped gingerroot (or possibly 1 tspn grnd ginger)
  • 2 x garlic cloves chopped
  • 3 c. broccoli florets
  • 2 x carrots diced
  • 2 x celery stalks diced
  • 1 tsp Chinese five-spice pwdr
  • 1 tsp chili paste or possibly to taste
  • 2 Tbsp. soy sauce or possibly to taste
  • 1 Tbsp. Oriental sesame oil - (to 2)
  • 1 Tbsp. mango chutney

Direcciones

  1. In a large pot of boiling salted water cook the linguine till it is al dente and drain, reserving 1/2 c. of pasta cooking liquid.
  2. Meanwhile, prepare the vegetables: In a large nonstick skillet set over moderately-high heat, hot the oil till warm, add in the onions, gingerroot and garlic and cook, stirring occasionally, for 3 min.
  3. Add in the broccoli, carrots, celery and salt to taste and cook, stirring, for 5 min more.
  4. Add in the five-spice pwdr, chili paste, soy sauce and 1/2 c. of pasta cooking liquid and cook, stirring occasionally, till vegetables are crisp-tender. Stir in the sesame oil and chutney.
  5. Add in the liquid removed pasta and stir to combine.
  6. This recipe yields 4 servings.
