Microwave Scotch Toffee Bars

Ingredientes

  • 1/3 c. butter, melted
  • 2 c. quick cooking rolled oats
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 (6 ounce.) pkg. chocolate morsels
  • 1/4 c. dark corn syrup
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 c. nuts, minced

Direcciones

  1. Combine butter, oats, brown sugar, corn syrup, vanilla and salt in bowl. Press firmly against bottom of 8 x 8 inch or possibly 9 x 9 inch microwave safe dish.
  2. Bake in microwave oven on full power for 3 to 4 min in 8 x 8 inch pan, or possibly till bubbling all over. Turn dish once during cooking time. Smooth surface. Top with chocolate morsels.
  3. Heat in microwave oven on Level 6 (roast) for 1 minute, or possibly till chocolate morsels are melted. Spread chocolate proportionately over bottom crust. Sprinkle with nuts. Chill. Cut into bars. Store in airtight container in refrigerator. Yield: 12 bars.
